German Ram Small
Mikrogeophagus ramirezi
Description
German Ram Small. German Ram Small ( Mikrogeophagus ramirezi ) Care level: Easy Max Size: 7cm Temp: 25-30°C PH: 5-7 Approximate purchase size: 3-3.5cm Diet: Omnivore Compatibility: Community Rams are a peaceful dwarf cichlid that we recommend for the more experienced aquarists. They are best maintained as a male and female pair, but can be kept as a colony in large tanks that offer enough space for all the fish to have their own individual territories. In smaller tanks, the Rams may become aggressive, especially if they're breeding. The aquarium should be furnished with plants, bog wood and caves that the fish can use to establish their territories. The water should be soft and acidic, with moderate flow and temperatures at the higher end of the tropical scale. Frequent partial water changes are essential to the wellbeing of the Small German Ram as they are incredibly sensitive to elevated levels of Nitra. Source: Shirley Aquatics Tropical Livestock.
