Description

Alenquer Tiger L397 Pleco Tank Bred - Size: Small. 2-3cm. The Tank bred Alenquer Tiger L397 Pleco is a striking and beautiful species of freshwater catfish. It has a distinctively elongated body, which is covered in rows of bony plates. The body is primarily dark brown or black, with a pattern of yellow or white stripes or spots that give it its "tiger" appearance. The fins are also adorned with similar patterns. The head of the Alenquer Tiger L397 Pleco is wide and flat, with a small, downturned mouth that is well adapted for scraping algae and other organic matter off of surfaces. The eyes are relatively small, and sit high on the head. The fish has a pair of long, filamentous fins that protrude from its cheeks, which are used to detect movement and vibration in the water. Adult Alenquer Tiger L397 Plecos can grow to a length of around 5. Source: Abyss Aquatics Tropical Fish.
