Threadfin Rainbow. Source: Aquarium Bred and Raised Estimated size at shipping: 1" Adult Size: around 1-1.5" Overview: "Lovely plumage," as they say. Like hummingbirds in the water, these little fish rapidly flutter their amazingly extended fins while dancing. This has to be one of the most spectacular sites in nature. I'm sorry my pics and vids don't even come close to doing them justice. Threadfins rainbows are peaceful, active, hardy fish which do well in a community aquarium with other peaceful species of an appropriately small size. A shoaling species, these will feel most comfortable, and be most active, in a group...the bigger the better. Peaceful, active fish. Rainbowfish are generally hardy and easy to care for. Rainbowfish are truly unique in that the males of most species have a bright iridescent. Source: Dan's Fish stock list.
