Description

Congo Lamprologus - 2-3" Unsexed. Remarks: The Congo lamprologus is an uncommon dwarf cichlid found in the fast-flowing sections of the Congo River. These fascinating little fish have adapted to withstand the fast currents of the river they inhabit with some of their adaptations being their reduced swimbladders and strong pectoral fins. Congo lamprologus are very similar to the more common buffalo head cichlids, but they are a smaller species and tend to have a more gray or tan coloration as well as a smaller size. Sometimes dominant males can have a very dark gray coloration that can appear blue in some lights making for an absolutely stunning fish. As they are a species used to living in rapids conditions, the Congo lamprologus requires an aquarium with heavy aeration to get the proper amounts of oxygen. This can be achi.
