They are a mid sized, peaceful shoaling species that should be maintained in a group of 6 or more specimens alongside other peaceful fish. Generations of captive bred specimens have ensured that today’s Lemons available in shops are all able to adapt to a wide range of conditions and tend to be a very forgiving species. These fish are often overlooked in the shops as they often tend to be quite bland in colour until they are placed in a planted home aquarium.
