They requires a larger aquarium with plenty of height, which is important when it comes to this fish as they get surprisingly tall, especially the Diamond Veiltail Angelfish and other long finned varieties. Substrate should be fine sand to protect the fish from injuring themselves and there should be plenty of plants to make them feel secure. Temperament Angels are not nearly as aggressive as people like to make out. They are however often placed in the wrong kind of surroundings and in tanks that are simply not big enough and this can create the aggression in angels.
